An America Classic!
On the cover of " The Brothers Reno" by Jesse Lee Vint it says "Humor! Heart! History!" Not only do those words ring true when reading this jewel of a book, I was deeply moved with the easy and succinct way Mr. Vint brings forth and describes the character's personalities. Most impressive was how he brought to light the complexities of the mind and spirit of Frank Reno. The biggest sparkle in this jewel is the honorable justice of the story --- most refreshing and truly American!! It was extremely entertaining with great humor --- a page turner that has a twist and a happy ending --- great read!! By Bettina McCann on February 17, 2015

Just want to say the this book is a fantastic...
Just want to say that this book is a fantastic and wonderful portrayal of the amazing story of America's Wild West. It is a tribute to the talents of Allan Pinkerton and the amazing people of that generation. The Reno brothers had to be the cleverest of all outlaws -- a must read for the fans of that era!
Again, an entertaining read for historical fans of the Wild West!

EDITORIAL REVIEWS

Damsels, Druids, Kelts, Vikings, mysterious knights-errant, jousts, mighty steeds, and chivalry are all part of this thoroughly enjoyable, well-written historical novel.
In the tradition of Sir Thomas Mallory’s Le Morte d’Arthur, this historical fiction depicts the people and events leading to the Battle of Hastings in 1066.
Jesse Lee Vint breathes life into history with beautifully drawn characters and nonstop action. Whether interested in the history of the Middle Ages or just looking for a thrilling tale of knights, warfare, romance, and intrigue, readers can’t go wrong with this one.  KIRKUS REVIEWS 10-11-2015

Brilliant interpretation of one of the most significant and sometimes overlooked battles in English history: The Battle of Hastings.  Readers fond of works like The Lord of the Rings will find a similar nostalgia…..(a) historical tale full of friendship, love, betrayal, myth, and war …. conjures the likes of Beowulf and the “warrior-poets” of Braveheart.
“William the Conqueror vs King Harold” is a great read. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a well-researched, historical novel.
~Jason Lolus – Pacific Book Review

….a vivid, engrossing read, --- a novel that is everything historical fiction should be: gripping, replete with psychological as well as historical insights, and perfectly tuned to the reader's emotions.
~    Diane Donovan, Sr. Editor, Midwest Book Review

Right from the start Jesse Lee Vint’s  writing is bold, humorous, and hypnotic…. The author crafted this novel in the style of an Arthurian adventure… a unique twist on one of the most exciting chapters in English history…. a wonderful story for families to read together.
Historical fiction should be entertaining, and William the Conqueror vs. King  Harold wholeheartedly delivers.

Clear instruction for a difficult challenge,
"The Film Actor's Handbook" is an excellent guide to learning the craft of not acting, but re-acting to situations or other people, where there happens to also be an appreciative audience. In this book, Jesse takes the reader from their assumptions about how to act into a new perspective and then step-by-step overview of what it takes to make people really care about your character. Which is what separates the stars from the good actors.

This review is from: The Film Actor's Handbook (Paperback)

A book for the moviegoers, too
I could hardly put this book down. It all seemed to me the exposition of good, usable, sensible, pertinent---and most of all simple---concepts. Your Handbook is certainly a very clear setting out of the actor's basics. What's more I am not a film actor or ever intend to be one; but as a writer, I found much to consider in your book that is helpful. I thought your little book was well written, clear and amusing---a delight to read and the rouser of advantageous thoughts.
